Thank you for your interest.
Yellowstone in winter is unlike any place I've ever experienced. It’s a realm where the chill sharpens your senses, a vivid reminder of being alive. The contrast of geothermal warmth against the stark freeze creates an otherworldly charm, a mesmerizing dance of elements—cold and heat, stillness and vitality. This hauntingly beautiful landscape leaves an imprint deeper than memory—it stirs something, awakening the very soul.
Amid this frozen serenity, resilient wildlife etches out survival—bison cloaked in frost, steam rising from their flared nostrils, elk moving with deliberate grace through deep drifts, and wolves, shadows against the snow, their eyes glinting with fierce vitality. Silence reigns, profound and pure, punctuated only by the distant call of a raven or the soft crunch of snow beneath your feet.
Winter in Yellowstone National Park is a magical and spectacular time of year. The summer crowds are gone but the wonders of the Park remain for the adventurous to explore and enjoy. There is nothing comparable to a winter visit to the geyser basins or seeing bison and elk warming near the mist of hot springs. Since 1996, I have been fortunate to lead dozens of five-day photo tours into this winter fairyland. On my winter photo tours I share both my knowledge of photography and love of the Park with my guests. I invite you to join me this winter for five full days of photography exploring the heart of Yellowstone National Park. I offer personalized instruction so you will come away with incredible images, fabulous memories and new friends! Bison, coyotes, and swans await us!
Space is limited to 6 guests.
